Shanghai Pengpu Machine Building Plant Co., Ltd grows out of Pengpu Machine Building Plant Shanghai China, which was founded on March 18, 1959, it is the pillar enterprise in construction machinery industry, a key enterprise in Shanghai Municipality, and it has state-granted self-support import and export rights.
It is the cradle of Chinese crawler bulldozer; It is one of the enterprises in China that have a complete range of crawler bulldozers and the highest power ones. It is also the earliest manufacturer in China to make total hydraulic excavator, and a large heavy industrial equipment manufacturer. It adopts 3D CAD\CAPP\BOM\PDM system in products development, in this way, it digitalizes the whole process from related product information gathering to resource integration management and research and development system. As a result, it shortens the new product development cycle, and quickens the step to satisfy the customer′s particular requirements.
Pengpu Machine Building Plant enjoys sophisticated quality control operation system. In 1998, it was granted ISO9001 Quality System Certificate issued by Shanghai Audit Center of Quality System; And in 2002, it passed the ISO9001-2000 re-certification; In 2001, it became the first one to pass the second-party quality system checking by General Equipment Department of PLA Army Corps of Engineers, and its leading product bulldozer was confirmed by General Equipment Department of PLA Army Corps of Engineers as the appointed product for military use. The company has more than 1600 various types of advanced equipment, three main workshops and three assembly lines, which ensure that the company can manufacture products of high-quality and good quality. In 1994, it was granted national name brand; In 1999, it was granted Shanghai name brand. JULI Shanghai bulldozer was granted Customer Satisfactory Product for four successive times (12 years). And the company was granted Shanghai Model Unit for seven times, Shanghai Advanced Unit of Safe Production for seven times, National and Shanghai Excellent Unit of Equipment Management, and Garden Unit for quite a few years.
After reform in January 2004, Pengpu Machine Building Plant was transformed into a multi-investment Co., Ltd with Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (Group) enjoying the majority stakes and Shanghai Electric (Group) Co., holding part of the stakes. And the new company started operation formally since October 2004.
